MindTree ranked among top 10 global outsourcing companies

MindTree Ltd, a Bangalore-based IT solutions company, today announced that it has been named among the top 10 global Outsourced Product Development (OPD) service providers for 2009 by Global Services and newIT in their Global Services 100 study.

This recognition, based on multiple evaluation criteria such as depth and breadth of offerings, size, customer base, skills, and innovation, strongly testifies MindTree's leadership position in the global OPD market, the company said in a statement.

MindTree's OPD business unit provides software engineering services to software product companies globally. With over 2,100-plus products developed and tested so far, it has helped several global software companies ship some of their most complex software products. 

MindTree provides full lifecycle product engineering, independent testing, professional services and sustained engineering services to companies that build enterprise application products, software tools and platforms and portals and web products.

The study, in its fifth year, recognises the top 100 IT and BPO service providers, covering a wide range of services from IT application services and product development to quality engineering and infrastructure services, finance and accounting outsourcing (FAO).

MindTree was selected as one of the winners in the OPD category for its domain expertise, differentiated service offerings and solutions, high profile customer base and revenue growth rate among other key factors.
