Momail, the world’s smallest mobile e-mail, has launched its services and is scouting for 100,000 beta testers in the country.

"We have had a lot of interest from India and now we are happy to offer Momail for free for a number of beta testers. Our plan is to open Momail for all Indians before Christmas, so soon all users with an e-mail capable mobile will be able to enjoy the world's smallest, smartest and most cost-effective mobile email," Momail CEO Roger Grönberg said.

Momail is perfect for a market like India with an ever-increasing interest in mobile technology compared with a relatively low personal computer penetration, he added.

The company’s service includes a full e-mail offering and for many Indians, who uses mobile phones for communication, Momail will be their first way to use e-mail including having their first e-mail address.

Momail collects all existing e-mail accounts – like Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo and other local e-mail IDs - into one inbox on the mobile.

The company is looking for beta testers, who can sign up for free at the company’s website (www.momail.in) using the password momailrox.
