| One of the experiments has been brought to be readied for launch with the Chandrayaan I mission. |
| The Miniature Synthetic Aperture Radar (MiniSAR) from the Applied Physics Laboratory of the John Hopkins University, an experiment to detect the availability of water at the lunar poles, will be one of the 11 payloads on the mission. MiniSAR has now been brought to ISRO to be readied for launch. |
| Along with the five-indigenously developed payloads/experiments, there shall be six other payloads of other space agencies from across the world that shall be launched during the mission. |
| The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is expected to earn $10 million from the mission from NASA. |
