Nokia opts for Chennai to set up mfg plant

Nokia has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government for setting up a manufacturing unit in Chennai, chief minister Jayalalithaa told the state assembly today.

 The manufacturing unit, the company's first in the country, would be located at Sriperumbadur Sipcot Industrial Estate, she said.
