Personal computer (PC) sales crossed 17.1 lakh units during the first half of the current fiscal - a growth of 37% over the same period lastfiscal."PC sales are expected to touch 40 lakh units this fiscal with the second half also expected to turn up with encouraging numbers," according to a release issued by MAIT."The high growth in sales can be attributed to increased consumption by verticals like telecom, banking and manufacturing as well as major e-governance initiatives by central and state governments," the release added.
