Quality Engineering and Software Technologies (QuEST), a provider of engineering solutions, has announced a tie-up with Industrial and Power Systems & Services Company (IPS), one of the in-house companies of Japan's Toshiba Corporation.
 
As part of the agreement, QuEST will extend its support to IPS in the areas of turbo-machinery components and their related accessories, specifically in the power generation equipment segment.
 
"India has emerged as a strong technology hub in the Asian region and we are enthusiastic about using its vast talent pool. This pact with QuEST will benefit us," said Atsuhiko Izumi, Deputy GM, Toshiba Keihin Product Operations.
 
"We have signed a three year contract with Toshiba and set up a team comprising of 30 members for the current project", said Aravind Melligeri, President, QuEST.
 
"Presently we are in the build stage of the project and influx of new projects should scale up in terms of technical complexity and value addition realised by the customer. Toshiba will provide us the technical know how and processes needed to execute the work as per their requirements. QuEST has established a dedicated team to support Toshiba. We will continue to invest and mature this relationship."
 
"QuEST will support Toshiba in specific functions such as automation of their design process to cut down the time to market, detailed design including: Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Detailing, and Manufacturing Vendor Management Support Services", Melligeri added.
