Reliance Infocomm launched seamless inter-standard international roaming service "" 1World,1Number, on Thursday with single number on international CDMA & GSM networks.

This means that when Reliance customers are roaming on a GSM network "" for instance, in Europe, the caller line identification of the customer would still be his/her Reliance number.

Reliance is the first telecom operator in India to launch such an inter-standard roaming facility.

The new inter-standard roaming service is a huge bonus for Reliance customers as they will no longer have to resort to call-forwarding when travelling from a CDMA network to GSM network and vice verse.

With 11 major CDMA networks and 340 GSM networks covered under 1World 1Number service, Reliance now becomes the number 1 service provider in India in terms of offering the widest international roaming coverage and lowest roaming rates.

Reliance customers travelling abroad can subscribe to the service at Reliance WebWorlds.

A SIM Card will be provided to the customer, which, when used with a suitable GSM handset, will enable the customer to roam on GSM networks.

Customer can use CDMA handset for roaming on CDMA networks.
