RelQ Software, an independent software testing company, on Tuesday announced the launch of two new services, WebQ and ManagedQ, to bring testing solutions to a wider audience across industries.

WebQ, an innovative testing service, will enable customers to conduct the entire testing process, from sales to the delivery of the product, to be done through the web. ManagedQ will enable SMEs to carry out the entire test activity proactively, making use of RelQ's expertise and resources, the company said.

Prakash Mutalik, co-founder and president of RelQ said, "the traditional IT sales and delivery model involves sales persons directly soliciting business from the client and engineers working on projects to deliver results to customers. But with WebQ, no direct involvement of the sales person is required since the sale, requirement collection and the entire testing is done with WebQ," he added.

The service will help customers get a quick and automated response to their queries and know the status of the project apart from providing access to the vast testing experience of RelQ. This will complete the entire testing process in less time and a cost effective manner.

RelQ had implemented the model for testing small mobile applications last year and with the success of the model, the company decided to bring this to a wider audience with the launching of WebQ.

Srikanth S, co-founder and chief operating officer said ManagedQ, using RelO's patented testing platform 'STAR', will help small and medium sized companies carry out the entire test activity proactively, right from planning, setting up test processes and knowledge testing to the mining of complete projects.

"While the relationship with customers is often project based, in ManagedQ, the engagement is more in the form of partnership with customers, with RelQ managing all the test activities."

The Bangalore-headquartered company with customers like Vodafone, Palm, HP, Philips, Aventis, Franklin Templeton and Citibank, has targetted a revenue of Rs 5-6 crore each from the two new services and is planning to launch them in the USA in June.

RelQ is targetting a 50 per cent rise in turnover in 2006-07 to reach Rs 150 crore. Headcount will increase from the present 600 to 1,000 by the yearend.
