UP Elections: UP Elections are ruling the trending chartgs on social media today and many different trends are related to the assembly elections in India's most populous state. The final phase of polling for 40 assembly segments is underway in UP today. The seats are spread across seven districts in the seventh and final phase. A total of 1.41 crore voters, including 64.76 lakh women are eligible to exercise their franchise today. The final leg of the elections saw extensive campaigning from candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been camping in his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi where he held roadshows and election rallies. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi conducted rallies with Samajwadi Party chief and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav in the city.

Women's day: Womens’ day is also creating buzz on social media today. March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day. (IWD. It commemorates the struggle for women's rights. It is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women's Day (IWD) has been observed since the early 1900's.

Tata Motors:  On Tuesday, Tata Motors showcased its first sports car, the Tamo Racemo, at the Geneva Motor Show 2017. It also unveiled its next generation car in the compact category, sedan Tigor as well as SUV Nexon. The sports car, equipped with advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and over-the-air updates using Microsoft cloud-based technologies, is expected to hit the market in 2017-18.

India vs Australia: India won the second Test against Australia by 75 runs. Having set the visitors a target of 188 runs to win, Indian bowlers dismantled the Australian batting line-up, bowling the latter out for 112 runs. The big victory was later overshadowed by Indian team captain, Virat Kohli accusing the Australian captain of not playing in the spirit of the game.
