Mission10X, a not for profit trust launched by Wipro last year, has roped in senior academicians on its advisory board to address the employability landscape in India.

The advisory board comprises of Prof Chidananda Gowda, former Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University; A S Kolaskar, former VC, Pune University; and R Natarajan, former chairman of AICTE and former Director of IIT Chennai.

Pratik Kumar, Executive vice president, Human Resources, Wipro said, “We are extremely happy to have luminaries from the academia on the advisory board of Mission10X. We are confident that their rich experience and knowledge will help us further enhance the systemic changes that Mission10X has initiated in transforming teaching-learning paradigms in engineering colleges.”

The prime objective of Mission10X is to empower faculty members of engineering colleges to help students imbibe greater understanding of the subject apart from developing the behavioural skills. Formally launched in September,2007, Mission10X aims to cover 10,000 faculty by the year 2010.

Meanwhile, Mission10X has launched two resource guides on Fluid Mechanics and Microprocessor which would help the faculty of engineering colleges create Mission10X learning approach in their respective engineering subjects.
