Gagandeep Kang is a leading Indian virologist and professor known for her pioneering work in public health and vaccine development. She is the first Indian woman to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society (UK). Kang has played a critical role in research on enteric diseases and vaccines, particularly for rotavirus, which causes severe diarrhoea in children.
