Coal India and Solar Energy Corp to develop 200 MW solar power project

Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECL) have agreed to jointly develop 200 MW solar energy project in Madhya Pradesh. CIL and SECL will collaborate to set up two 100 MW solar power plants – each costing Rs 650 crores.
 
“Coal India and Solar Energy Corporation of India have signed two agreements for implementation of 200 MW solar power project in the state of Madhya Pradesh (MP) for the beneficial utilisation of solar power by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) - two subsidiaries of Coal India Limited - each at an estimated cost of Rs 650 crores,” said Coal India in a BSE filing yesterday.
