Dr Reddy's launches dementia drug in US
Memantine hydrochloride tablet is a generic version of Merz Pharma's Namenda tablets, which recorded US sales of about $ 1.4 billion in last twelve months ending in May 2015
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has launched memantine hydrochloride tablets (5 mg and 10 mg), a therapeutic equivalent generic version of Merz Pharma’s Namenda tablets, in the US market on July 12, 2015. Memantine hydrochloride tablets are used to treat dementia associated with Alzheimer's disease.
According to IMS Health, Namenda tablets brand had US sales of approximately $ 1.4 billion MAT for the most recent twelve months ending in May 2015.
Dr Reddy’s memantine hydrochloride tablets (5 mg) will be available in bottle count size of 60 and 10 mg strength tablets will be available in bottle count sizes of 60 and 500.
