The Ahmedabad-based Rushil Decor Ltd is planning to set up a facility to manufacture high density fibreboard (HDF) laminated flooring at Chikmagalur, Karnataka. The new plant is expected to have a capacity to produce about 36.80 million sq ft of HDF laminated flooring in a year. HDF laminate consists of high density fibreboard topped by one or more layers of decorative paper and a transparent plastic protective layer.
As per projection, Rushil Decor will start the production from the first quarter of financial year 2016-17 subject to receipt of necessary approval from the stake holders.
Rushil Decor already has a medium density fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing plant at Chikmagalur having a capacity of 300 cubic metres per day.
