New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Lt General (Retd) Zameer Uddin Shah attended the event of his book launch in the national capital. He wrote about Gujarat riots in his book 'The Sarkari Mussalman' and held the administration responsible for the problems in the riots. Speaking on the issue he said, "I have always said that in the case of Gujarat riots there was administrative fault. If the administration would have fulfilled their responsibility then nothing like this would have happened. There was a difference of 24 hours in the report that I gave and the one which the SIT gave. We got the support on March 2. We could not start enquiry for 24 hours. So we stopped the riots in 48 hours but had we got the support in time we could have stopped it in 24 hours."
