Covid updates: India tally crosses 1.5 million mark; 'Suraksha' to sanitise

Global airlines cut their coronavirus recovery forecast on Tuesday, saying it would take until 2024 - a year longer than previously expected - for passenger traffic to return to pre-crisis levels

India added over 48,000 new cases since yesterday, taking its overall tally to cross 1.5 million mark.

The death toll, meanwhile, has crossed 34,000 and recoveries passed 9.8 lakh mark, after a net addition of over 35,000.
