Trump shuffles lawyers as former valet indicted in conspiracy
Donald Trump has overhauled his legal team and revealed that an aide also has been indicted on federal charges over the former president’s refusal to return top-secret government documents found at his Florida home. Trump said Walt Nauta, his former White House valet who left to become an aide at Mar-a-Lago, also has been charged.
Nauta’s lawyer Stanley Woodward declined to comment.
Trump also announced that he will be represented by Todd Blanche and that two lawyers who had led his defence on the documents case, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, have resigned.
