Saudamini Mishra: Changing lives with the most intellectual stories
.

A renowned author and an incomparable artist with more than 10 years of experience, Saudamini Mishra has recently launched a new book named, Dhi’s Parables of Divine Transformation. Driven by the idea of self- transformation through one's flaws, the book has become symbolic of women empowerment and wisdom.
Dhi's Parable Of Divine Transformation by Saudamini Mishra is a collection of short stories. The word 'Dhi' in Sanskrit translates to 'understanding', 'mind' or the 'intellect'. In total there are 13 stories each one of them having been titled after its protagonist.
In an exclusive interview with us, Ms Saudamini shared some of the best experiences and her inspiring journey of turning from painter to an author. As a best-selling author, she also enlightened people with her idea of making an intellectual book and about her future endeavours.
Q1) Your book has become a bestseller in a short period of time and has received innumerable rave reviews. What do you think has made this possible?
“Philosophically speaking- the intention- which was for a greater good of actually making a difference than just being a bestseller; but from a practical standpoint, marketing one's book is essential and social media has a huge role to play in this. I also thank all the reviewers and readers who have been extremely generous with their praises. That helps the sales as well”.
Q2) How do you feel about changing so many lives with your recent publication?
As I said, that was the intention so it's extremely gratifying and humbling. I just penned whatever I had learned from my mother who helped me cope with life before she passed away. So I have just been an instrument- the actual writer, in essence, has been my mother and the universe that's made this possible.
Q3) Dhi's parables of Divine transformation is being hailed as an emblem of women empowerment. Was that the intention?
“Actually, this was unintended (there are stories in the book with men too as the protagonists) but I am glad that this is the case, as I have been brought up by a strong woman and come from a household which has been governed by fierce, dynamic women-so that's been my inherited worldview and belief system. I guess, conventionally I would be called a feminist and I am proud of that as well, but I see that more as being an equalist”.
Q4) What does Dhi stand for?
“For transformation. She represents fervid intellectual activity (hence the typewriter on her head) that transcends the physical world and aspires to become one with universal consciousness. Also, since she is a woman, she encourages women to be proud of their "thinking cap" and their ability to question.
Q5) What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
A5) Know what you want to say and the corresponding audience--build that base first, where you already have people who'd want to read what you have to say and would be positively impacted by it; and have your conviction in place, don't doubt it.
This emerging young author is selflessly driven towards empowering young generations with a particular focus on women across the world. Currently, Ms Saudamini is working for her future publications and will soon be launching another piece of work. We wish her luck for her upcoming projects.
