Hindustan Construction Company on Monday announced its managing director and chief executive Jaspreet Bhullar has quit with immediate effect.
The company, however, did not disclose the reasons for the resignation.
Bhullar sent his resignation letter to company chairman Ajit Gulabchand in the afternoon, and the same was accepted by the board later in the day, as per an exchange filing.
"The Board ...has accepted his request for relieving him with effect from close of business hours of June 23, 2025," the filing said.
Bhullar was appointed as the chief executive of the company in 2023 and given a five year term. He had joined the company from the Brookfield-run Multiplex Constructions India.
The HCC scrip closed 1.02 per cent down at Rs 30.08 a piece on the BSE on Monday, as against a 0.62 per cent fall in the benchmark index.

London-based Vedanta Resources Ltd on Monday said it has registered a profit of USD 1,617 million in the year ended March 2025, driven by favourable commodity prices, higher premiums and operational efficiencies.
In contrast, the company had posted a loss of USD 400 million in FY24.
The revenue of the company rose by 6 per cent to USD 18,220 million, compared to USD 17,128 million a year ago.
"Revenue for fiscal year 2025 stood at USD 18.2 billion, up 6 per cent on a YoY basis," the company said in a release.

India on Monday slammed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for making "unwarranted" and "factually incorrect" references to it while coming under influence of Pakistan, which turned terrorism into "statecraft".
India's strong reactions came after a two-day foreign ministerial conclave of the OIC in Turkiye criticised New Delhi on a range of issues including what it said is "social marginalisation" of Indian Muslims.
The OIC also called for strict adherence to bilateral pacts between India and Pakistan, including the Indus Waters Treaty and stressed the need for a broad-based dialogue for peaceful settlement of all outstanding disputes.

Sugarcane sowing is also slightly higher so far at 55.07 lakh hectare against 54.88 lakh hectare in the year-ago period.
Area under cotton is higher at 31.25 lakh hectare from 29.12 lakh hectare.

The Rajya Sabha on Thursday returned the Finance Bill 2025 to the Lok Sabha, along with 35 government amendments, including one that abolishes a 6 per cent digital tax on online advertisements, thus completing the 2025-26 budgetary exercise that started on February 1.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had moved the two bills in the House.
