Katchatheevu issue: Ex-Sri Lankan envoy says BJP invoked vote-puller due to less hold in Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's recent statements on the Katchatheevu issue sparked India-Sri Lanka controversy. Speaking to a leading national daily, former Sri Lankan envoy to India Austin Fernando said, "If India crosses the sea boundary, it will be seen as a violation of sovereignty".
