Opposition leaders meet President Kovind over Jamia Millia Islamia incident

New Delhi, December 17 (ANI): Opposition party leaders led by Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, met President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan over Jamia Millia Islamia incident. "We met President Kovind and appealed President to intervene in the situation related to protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act," said Sona Gandhi after the meeting. Anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act protest turned violent on Dec 15. Several students and police personnel got injured. 10 people have been arrested by the police.
