Tourists across the world throng international camel festival

Bikaner, Jan 10 (ANI): Tourists from around the world thronged international camel festival at desert town of Bikaner Rajasthan state. The 23rd International Camel Festival started on Saturday. The two-day-long festival was inaugurated by Director General of Police of Bikaner, S. N Joshi, by releasing balloons in the sky. The festival began with a procession of beautifully decorated camels which was followed by a camel pageant during which the camel owners showed off their camel's decorations and jewellery. Later in the day dance performances were held where camels were seen dancing on the beat of drums. Competitions were also held for the best decorated camels. The colourful bridles, bejewelled necks and jingling anklets enthralled the audience. The camel festival will also hold competitions for spectators on the closing day.
