Who is Rivaba Jadeja?

Rivaba Jadeja is an Indian politician and wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja. Rivaba is contesting the Gujarat 2022 Assembly polls on the Bharatiya Janata Party's ticket from the Jamnagar North constituency. Early life and education
Rivaba was born on September 5, 1990. She studied mechanical engineering in Gujarat's Rajkot, at the Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science. She got married to Ravindra Jadeja on April 17, 2016.

Political career
BJP’s Rivaba is related to Congress veteran Hari Singh Solanki. She has also served as the Rajput community organisation, Karni Sena. She was chief of the women’s wing of Karni Sena.

She formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Rivaba has been quite active in the Jamnagar-Saurashtra region as the politician has been travelling across villages in the region over the past few months to gain support for voters. Jamnagar is the hometown of Ravindra Jadeja.

Rivaba is contesting the Gujarat 2022 Assembly polls on a BJP ticket from the Jamnagar (North) constituency. She replaced sitting MLA Dharmendrasinh Jadeja as the BJP face for the seat.

Voting in the 182-member Gujarat Assembly will be held in two phases, on December 1 and 5, and counting will take place on December 8.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Nov 10 announced candidates for 84 of the 89 seats which are going to the polls in the first phase, and 76 of 93 candidates going to the polls in the second phase.
