Kansai Nerolac plans Rs 180-cr paints plant near Amritsar

Kansai Nerolac Paints, India’s leading industrial paints manufacturer, on July 30, 2015 announced its plans to invest Rs 220 crores for expanding its production capacity and increasing its research capabilities. The company will set up a paint manufacturing unit at Goindwal Sahib near Amritsar (Punjab) having capacity of 38,000 MT per year, which is expandable in phases, at an estimated cost of Rs 180.50 crores. It is also planning to set up a global R&D centre at Vashi, Navi Mumbai, at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crores.
 
This follows the decision of Kansai Nerolac Paints, announced in May this year, to build a paint manufacturing plant at Sayakha Industrial Estate in Gujarat, having capacity of 42000 metric tonne per year, at an estimated cost of Rs 350 crores.
