And while her non-invasive, anti-ageing laser treatments are currently hotter than Botox, food too plays an important part in the consultation. Chhabra hands out diets as a matter of course to "whoever visits my clinic" "" ageing actresses (at the clinic they make sure that no two acquaintances run into one another) and aspiring middle-class housewives alike.
"I ask everyone to drink two glasses of milk, a glass of coconut water, rich in calcium and potassium, nimbu paani with rock salt, and eat two bowls of curds everyday," says Chhabra, who, I am sure, does practice much of what she preaches, if you go by her own flawless complexion.
But then appearances are important in her line of work and with a diet such as the one above, it is no wonder that many people end up losing weight too "" "because after eating all this and (at least four) fruits and salads daily, they can hardly eat anything else".
Chhabra also bans anything with class II preservatives, oil and spices, diet colas and even sugar-free supplements and, instead, recommends Ayurveda "" fresh amla juice for anti-ageing and pigmentation problems first thing in the morning.
For acne, boiling hot water sipped slowly like tea in the morning and a salad of sprouts (rich in folates) for skin rehydration. For glowing skin, soup made from black gram rich in iron.
Now that we've given you free professional advice, let's give you some recipes too. In keeping with her professional image, Chhabra decided to toss up some healthy salads for us. Though she loves food and loves to eat out, she always makes sure to go to restaurants where she is assured of some healthy bites.
When she is cooking at home, she opts for minimal oil options "" fish marinated in ginger, lightly seasoned and grilled, or chicken curry made using grilled, instead of fried, chicken. The following recipes are what she does most often at home "" forcing the children to eat the greens. You could do the same!
