Dubai-based global airline Emirates today announced its partnership with the Kings XI Punjab team for the upcoming second edition of the T20 Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament to be played in South Africa from April 18.
The airline company would be the main sponsor of the Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia promoted Kings XI Punjab team, Emirates said in a statement.
"With cricket being the number one sport in India, it was only natural for us to form a partnership with one of the leading teams in the Indian Premier League.... This three-year sponsorship commitment will allow Emirates to become closer to our customer base in one of the most important regions on our network," the company said.
