Travel meet to start in Jaipur today

India Travel Mart (ITM), a prominent international travel & tourism exhibition, will start tomorrow in Jaipur and continue till August 13.
 
Rajasthan tourism is the host state, Uttaranchal tourism the partner state, and Malaysia and Dubai the partner countries for this event.
 
ITM showcases cruises, railways, aviation, hospitality and other related industries. The three-day exhibition will focus on outbound, inbound and domestic tourism.
 
Participants include the tourism departments of Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Andaman & Nicobar; international tourism boards from Malaysia and Dubai; Star Cruises; the Indian Railways; leading hotels, resorts, palaces, travel agencies, and tour operators; and other participants from Goa, Shimla, Nainital, Manali, Mussoorie, Ranikhet, Almora, Corbett, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Gandhinagar, Manesar, etc.
 
The participants will display and provide information on tourism destinations, tour packages and other related services. ITM Director Ajay Gupta said: "The mart is coming up with tourism packages and highlight pilgrimage tourism, adventure tourism, eco tourism, health tourism and wildlife destinations."
 
He said, "The basic purpose of holding this event is to boost tourism awareness worldwide. We believe that the inflow of domestic and outbound tourists will increase in coming months and Rajasthan will play a vital role in promotion of tourism. Our main aim is to promote tourism potential and spread awareness among the people."
 
He said, "The time at which ITM Jaipur is being held is perfect for Dusshera, Diwali, X'mas and Winter Holidays and round-the-year travel, vacations & business plans. The residents not only from Jaipur will be benefited with this exhibition but people of nearby cities and states will also get benefits of choosing from variety of attractive packages. It is the best time for those who are planning for their holidays or business trips. Corporate houses, travellers will also get detailed information to choose perfect, special and affordable packages at favourite destinations across the world.
