Twitter abuzz with wishes for the legend, #Sachin

Govt of India today announced it would award Tendulkar the Bharat Ratna

Sachin Tendulkar, God, Ledend of cricket, today left the audience teary eyed as he signed off his career of 24 years with a humble, heart warming speech. Recounting everyone who had had an impact and helped shape it, Tendulkar left his fans hanging on to his every word which he said goodbye. The stadium erupted into "Sachin, Sachin" when he said that the chant would always stay with him, till his very last breath. 

 

The world has been watching in bewilderment as India gave a larger than life to its most loved sportsman. Piers Morgan, on Nov 15th, responded to a tweet that asked him if he had ever seen so much outpour of emotion for any other sportsman. He said, "Never. This is astonishing."

 

After his retirement speech, the Governemnt of India announced that Sachin Tendulkar would be confered with the Bharat Ratna, the highest honour an Indian can be awarded with. Greetings and wishes poured in from well-wishers all over Twitter.
