Romesh Sobti, who is IndusInd Bank's managing director and chief executive officer, was earlier the country head of ABN Amro.

In a statement today, IndusInd Bank said Ramesh Ganesan has joined as head of transaction banking, Sanjeev Anand as head of small and medium enterprises, while Soumitra Sen will be the new head of branch distribution and Anish Behl will head the strategy and wealth management division.

Ganesan was the executive director and head of transaction banking at ABN Amro Bank, while Anand headed the SME business of ABN Amro. Anand was the head of commercial banking at ABN Amro and Sen was a part of the consumer banking team.

ABN Amro too is restructuring its Indian operations following the acquisition by a consortium led by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) last year. Last week, RBS announced the appointment of Paul Davies as the head of ABN Amro's private clients business in India.

Since December, when Sobti's appointment was made public, both IndusInd Bank and ABN Amro have seen a change in key functionaries. A few weeks after Bhaskar Ghose resigned as the managing director of IndusInd, the bank's joint managing director S Nagarajan too put in his papers.

In February, along with Sobti, four other senior executives had joined IndusInd. This included Paul Abraham, who took over as the chief operating officer (COO) and was earlier managing director of ABN Amro Central Enterprise Services (ACES) for about three years.

Similarly, K S Sridhar had joined as IndusInd Bank's chief risk officer, Sumant Kathpalia as head of consumer banking and Suhail Chander as head of corporate and institutional banking.
