The Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) is installing a 66 KV sub-station in Balloke village to meet the requirements of the sewerage water treatment plant. The plant will also cater to the needs of five nearby localities.

The PSEB had purchased 2,500 square yards of land six months ago, although electricity connection was applied for in 2005. The sub-station, which will be inaugurated next week, will cater to the power requirements of Haibowal Dairy Complex, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Sher-e-Punjab Nagar, Malikpur and village Rajowal "" apart from the pumping station.

Chief Engineer KD Chaudhary said that the grid will supply power for the sewage water treatment plant.
