Drug firm Abbott India today posted a net profit of Rs 17.10 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 14.07 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Abbott India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company stood at Rs 355.88 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011. It was Rs 224.37 crore in the same period last financial year.
The figures of the current quarter are not comparable with those of the same period previous fiscal due to change in accounting system of the firm.
For the half year ended June 30, 2011, the firm posted a net profit of Rs 39.88 crore, while the same was Rs 25.87 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
Shares of Abbott India today closed at Rs 1,461.70 on the BSE, up 0.71% from its previous close.
