Presently there are about 325 stores across the country, the northern and western parts being its most lucrative and profit making centres, followed by the south and eastern India.
Most stores will be based on a franchisee model.
Adidas is engaged into contract manufacturing in which presently two are for footwear and 15 are for apparels, he added on the sidelines of a Bavaria-West Bengal business meet on Monday.
The sports goods giant had started exporting its products two years back from India and aimed to export around one million footwear to Europe and United States (US).
He said Adidas would focus more on high value added products for which India was a very viable option as one of the fastest growing markets globally. Adidas aimed to add more contract manufacturing partners to its network.
Adidas claimed to enjoy around 25-30 per cent market share, and ranked second after Reebok which had market share of 45-50 per cent.
