National carrier Air India has introduced four festive schemes to boost business class travel in the last two months of this year.
A passenger travelling on metro routes, except between Chennai and Bangalore, four times from November 1 to December 31 in its executive class seats will get a complimentary ticket for travel in the same class. On these routes, if passengers travel six times in the same period, two complimentary tickets will be offered.
Further, a discount of 25 per cent on basic fare has been offered for women executives travelling in executive class.
Passengers who fly four times in economy class on metro routes (except between Bangalore and Chennai), within seven consecutive days, will be entitled for an "executive class upgrade voucher." "These vouchers may be used for upgrading at the time of check-in at AI counters, after having travelled four times, subject to the passenger holding a confirmed Economy Class paid ticket and seats being available in Executive Class," AI said in a press statement here.
There will be weekly lucky draw for passengers travelling executive class of AI.
