Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said its consolidated net profit rose by 11.69% to Rs 42.49 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, over the same period of previous fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 38.04 crore during the same period of previous financial year, Alembic Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income of the company for the second quarter stood at Rs 406.85 crore, compared to Rs 397.99 crore during the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
For the six months ended September 30, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 73.33 crore, as against Rs 65.60 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
Shares of Alembic Pharmaceuticals today closed at Rs 69.70 on the BSE, down 1.27% from its previous close.
