ARSS April-Dec net up 54%

ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd, a city-based infrastructure firm engaged in the construction of roads, highways, bridges, irrigation projects and EPC (Engineering Procurement & Construction) activities has recorded a 54 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 76.88 crore in the April-December period of this fiscal as against Rs 49.94 crore in the corresponding period of 2009-10.

The company's operational income in the said period went up by 42 per cent to Rs 859.83 crore from Rs 605.26 crore in the same period of the last fiscal.

For the October-December quarter, the net profit of ARSS Infrastructure registered a marginal rise of 2.11 per cent to Rs 26.11 crore compared to Rs 25.57 crore achieved in the October-December period of 2009-10.

The company's operational income in this quarter increased by 14.17 per cent to reach Rs 302.64 crore compared to Rs 265.08 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal.

The company's total order book stands at around Rs 5000 crore (as on December 31, 2010).

Commenting on the results, Sunil Agarwal, chief executive officer of ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd said, “We are pleased with our performance in the current quarter. The amount of orders bagged this year has contributed to our robust order book position.
