Ashok Leyland launches multi purpose vehicle 'Stile'

Vehicle has been developed by Ashok Leyland-Nissan Motor Company JV

Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland today launched a multi purpose vehicle 'Stile', with price starting from Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The vehicle has been developed by Ashok Leyland-Nissan Motor Company joint venture and follows the light commercial vehicle Dost as the JV's second offering in the segment.

"We are extremely delighted to launch the second product offering from the Ashok Leyland Nissan JV, which we believe, will change the dynamics of Indian MPVs," Ashok Leyland Vice Chairman V Sumantran told reporters here.

With Stile in our portfolio, we are now better positioned to cater to a wider customer base and range of transportation needs, he added.

Stile comes with a diesel engine and will be sold through the 130 outlets across the country, the company said.

The Stile will address various applications like seven to eight seater people transport in the urban and rural areas, hotel shuttles, taxi services and ambulances, the company said, adding it will be produced at Nissan's manufacturing plant at Oragadam in Tamil Nadu.
