Avon Beauty India to expand its footprint

The company is planning to launch 350 new products across all categories in the current fiscal year

Avon Beauty Products India (P) Ltd., one of the leading direct selling companies of beauty and cosmetics product is looking to strengthen its presence in India, particularly in Tier-I, II and III cities, as well as expand its product portfolio.

"India has great potential as a market. From last three year, we are witnessing a CAGR of 40%. Now, we are looking at expanding our reach across the country for better growth prospects. We are planning to strengthen our presence across India especially in Tier-I, II and III cities. Presently, we have presence in 1,000 towns and are planning to add another 500 towns or cities in the current fiscal year(Jan-Dec 13)," said, Ujjwal Mukhopadhyay, Managing Director- Avon India in an interaction with Business Standard.

He also added that the company is planning to launch 350 new products across all categories in the current fiscal year.

Currently the company is selling around 1500 products in India especially in segments like Skin Care, Colour, Custume Jewelry. The company has state of the art facility in Dehradun where it produces beauty and cosmetics product with an installed capacity of 50 million units per annum.
The company sources around 60% of its total product from the factory while the rest is being imported from other locations.

“ Further we are planning to add one more beauty zone in North east taking the total number of Beauty Zones to 11 across India,” he added. Avon Beauty Zones are one-stop shops where independent sales representatives can place and collect orders, attend sales, product and beauty training programmes and monthly campaign meetings.

Meanwhile the company announced, the appointment of Neha Khanna as their Celebrity Make-up artist. With her 15 years of experience, Neha Khanna will share the latest color trends and create trendsetting makeup looks for its consumers and representatives.
