Chandigarh-based Berkeley Group, dealing in automobile dealership, insurance and financing, has diversified into securities broking through new subsidiary Berkeley Gains.
Berkeley Gains will offer investment options in the equity markets through Berkeley Securities Limited and Berkeley Commodities Limited.
The service roll out will be in three phases and initially it will begin from tri-city (Chnadigarh, Panchkula and Mohali) and nearby areas.
The entire northern region is likely to be covered in the second phase and the third phase will make the offerings available to the rest of the country.
The company targeting to cover 16 states in the next 2 years with more than 200 sub-brokers and client base of more than 30,000 has plans to open five regional offices in 16 states.
