Bharti Teletech enters into distribution pact with Transcend

Bharti Teletech, telecom and allied products maker and distributor, today said it has entered into a distribution pact with memory accessories maker Transcend Information for distributing its products in the country.      

Through the alliance Transcend would be able to leverage Bharti Teletech's extensive retail network of over 36,000 retailers and both Bharti and Transcend would be in a strong position to capitalise on the increasing demand for telecom and IT accessories in the domestic market, Bharti said in a statement.     

Bharti would distribute the Transcend range of memory flash cards in the first phase, while in the second phase, the company would start distributing other products like USB pen drives, portable HDD and multimedia products and memory modules.     

"The partnership with Transcend will enable Bharti Teletech to strengthen its position as the leading distributor of allied telecom and technology products in the country.

Given our vision of enabling technology reach masses, we are increasingly exploring alliances with leading global players in the technology arena," Bharti Teletech Vice Chairman and Managing Director Rakesh Bharti Mittal said.     

Bharti Teletech has similar alliances with global majors like Motorola, Polycom, Casio, Sanyo, Apple and Logitech.
