Social networking site BigAdda.Com, part of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, aims a revenue of $4-5 million in the next one year by targeting internet and mobile internet users in the country.
"We have projected to have a revenue of $4-5 million within next 12 months and majority of it will be coming from advertisements," BigAdda.Com COO Shivanandan Pare told reporters here today.
The company, which launched its operations one year back, has started earning revenue from June this year.
"We have just started getting revenue and in these three months it is not an amount which is quite big," he said.
The company hopes to reach breakeven point within next 2-3 years, he said, adding that at present, it has 2.5 million registered users and is adding 15,000 users daily.
The company plans to target internet users, who are between 18 years and 34 years.
"We are reaching out to 40 million internet users in the country, and with us going on to mobile platform, we will be able to reach to 50 million mobile internet users," he said.
With the Indian internet user base touching 100 million mark by 2008 and access of internet on mobile becoming cheaper there will be a revolution in Indian social networking arena, he said.
"Statistics say about 56.6 per cent of net users log onto their communities' every day and about 70.4 per cent interact with other members of their communities."
The company, which has launched 'MobileAdda' version of BigAdda.Com for cellphones, expects over 300 million users.
