Infrastructure firm C&C Constructions today said it in joint venture with a private firm has bagged an order worth $126.94 million (Rs 635 crore) from the government for infrastructure-related works in Afghanistan.
The company in joint venture with BSCPL Infrastructure has bagged the construction order from the public works department of the government of India, C&C Constructions said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Under the contract, both companies would engage in the construction of the Afghan Parliament and a new Indian Chancery in Kabul.
The Afghan Parliament would be built in 36 months, while the Indian Chancery within 16 months, the filing added.
The company has so far received orders worth Rs 2,028 crore this fiscal, of which Rs 1,623 crore is with in JV with firms and Rs 385 crore in its own name. With this, the company's own shares of the order book now stands at Rs 2,381 crore as on date, the company said.
C&C Constructions closed at Rs 101.55, down 3.70 per cent on the BSE.
