Cantabil Retail today posted 48.19% decline in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, at Rs 2.58 crore.
In the same quarter last year the company's net profit stood at Rs 4.98 crore.
Cantabil's net sales also slipped 27.43% at Rs 42.02 crore in Q4, compared to Rs 57.91 crore in the three month period ended March 31, 2010, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2011, the company's net profit declined 15.73% to Rs 12.37 crore, compared to Rs 14.68 crore in the previous year.
Cantabil's net sales for the fiscal fell 7.82% to Rs 186.04 crore, compared to Rs 201.83 crore in FY10.
The firm's scrips closed at Rs 36.65 per share, down 1.21% compared to the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
