Global network solutions provider Cisco has entered into an agreement with Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) to impart skills development training of around 80,000 youth in India over the next 18 months.
"As part of this initiative, we will deploy the Cisco Education Enabled Development platform - our cloud based video delivered solution to empower rural India through efficient delivery of skill development courses" said Aravind Sitaraman, president Inclusive Growth, Cisco India
TSSC is an industry led body jointly promoted by the Cellular Operators Association of India , Indian Cellular Association (ICA), Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCoE) with Governing body Members including DEITY, IIM and NSDC. It has been mandated to facilitate training support for skilling in telecom Domain under the recently launched National Skill Certification and Monetary (STAR) scheme.
