Cognizant picks up 36 students from IIT-Madras

As many as 55 students were selected by different companies on day 8 of placement

IT major Cognizant has offered 36 jobs for IIT-Madras students on the eight day of placement at one of the country's premier institutes. In the last eight days, number of offers given by the company was 776 as compared to 617, during the last year placement.

According to IIT-M number of offers given in eight days stood at 776 (as compared to 617 last year). Number of students placed were 706 (556) and number of companies offered jobs were 199 (151).

On the day eight, IT major Cognizant Technology solutions offered 36 offers, followed by ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, which offered 10 jobs for the IIT-M students.

In total on the day eight 55 students were selected.
