Compuware to adopt partner-driven strategy

The company is aggressively pushing a partner driven strategy in India for its software product and solutions offerings.

The 35-year old US-headquartered company established its direct presence in India almost three years ago.

Following this, the company is growing 100 per cent year on year. Hariharan Ganeshan, MD India & SAARC, Compuware, said as a part of the campaign, the company would focus on building a better brand identity in India.

The company aims at showcasing how Compuware products and solutions give better value to the customers. At global level, Compuware has launched a new tagline - "we make IT rock around the world".

Ganeshan said the company was aiming to broadbase its reach to the customers in India, by increasing the focus on partners.

During last one year, the company has signed about seven solutions partners including Wipro, Satyam, HCL Infotech, ITC Infotech and Polaris.

The focus would now be to partner with all leading system integrators in India, and increase the number of partners to 12 in the next two years, he added.

Compuware has over 40 customers in India in different verticals including telecom, automobile, retail, manufacturing, banking & financial services and government owned organisation.

The company offers solutions in the areas of application delivery management, application services management, IT governance and project portfolio management.

The company which recorded a revenue of $1.23 billion in the just ended financial year, sells its software applications directly to the customers and also with its partners. Software products contributes about a third of its total revenue where as support and services contribute the rest
