IPCL in the red, June quarter net loss at Rs 6 cr

AHhmedabad: Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd has posted a net loss of Rs 6 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2002, compared with a net profit of Rs 13 crore in the previous corresponding quarter. Operating profit stood at Rs 196 crore (Rs 208 crores) while sales were at Rs 1782 crore (Rs 1977). Cash profit was at Rs 106 crore (Rs 177 crore). (Our Regional Bureau)

Visualsoft Tech posts Rs 7.37 cr net in Q1

Hyderabad: Visualsoft Technologies has posted a net profit of Rs 7.37 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 2002, up 14.5 per cent over the previous sequential quarter, while the total income touched Rs 29.02 crore. The board recommended a dividend of Rs two per share for the year ended March 31, 2002. (PTI)

Andhra Bank net rises 22% at Rs 81.32 cr

Hyderabad: Andhra Bank has recorded a 22 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 81.32 crore for the quarter ended June 2002 compared with Rs 66.42 crore posted for the same period last year. Total business at the end of the last quarter was at Rs 28,418 crore with deposits at Rs 18,329 crore and advances at Rs 10,089 crore. Advances grew by Rs 2,402 crore (31 per cent growth) during Q1 compared to last year
