Deepak Chatterjee has been appointed the new managing director of SBI Funds Management, investment manager for SBI Mutual Fund, with effect from January 13, 2011.
Chatterjee has over 32 years of experience in the banking sector. In his previous assignments, he has held senior positions at SBI Capital Markets and the State Bank of India, over last 10 years. “Over the next 3 years, we plan to further expand our reach to semi-urban, tier II and tier III cities and consolidate SBI mutual fund’s position as the preferred fund house," said Chatterjee.
