Definace Technology opens centre in Pune

Defiance Technologies Limited, a Hinduja Group company has set up its development centre in Pune with a focus on the automotive and engineering industry.
The Pune centre will start with a team of 50 and will ramp up to about 1500 in three years time. The company serves the aerospace customers from Bangalore, where Defiance is expanding facilities.
Commenting on this, Subu D Subramanium, managing director said, "Defiance has a design and protoshop studio in Chennai. It is leveraging its expertise and the Ashok Leyland’s understanding of the automotive industry to deliver to the customers in the automotive space. It is able to undertake product development and end to end system integration for auto companies much better,"
According to the company officials, talks are on with the customers from USA and the UK who would like to set up design studio and protoshop in Pune and that should happen in future.
Defiance was involved in the development of the powertrain and the design and development of Ashok Leyland 'Dost', the new LCV launched by the AshokLeyland-Nissan Motor joint venture (JV). It has also worked on upgrading the Ashok Leyland Stallion trucks and development of a new solution for defence mobility for the Indian army.
Defiance is headquartered in Chennai and has development centers in Chennai and Bangalore in India and in the US at Troy and Westland, Michigan.
