The appointment of Thakkar, an Information Security executive, the company said, indicates the renewed focus of Trend Micro in providing momentum towards the further growth of the company.
"We are extremely elated to welcome Dhanya Thakkar as an essential role player at Trend Micro. We believe he is best suited to lead Trend Micro India at this stage of the business unit’s growth and contribute to our vision of making the world safe enough for exchanging digital information," said Wael Mohamed, EVP – Corporate Strategy & Global Field Operations.
With global experience at numerous start-ups as well as large global public companies, Thakkar joined Trend Micro, as a result of acquisition of IndusGuard, which he co-founded and for which he served as President.
Thakkar said that in the years ahead, their clients will need our advice and solutions more than ever in an increasingly risky and interconnected world.
"We have amazing assets, tremendous talent, and an unmatched legacy of innovation and execution. I look forward to working with our India team to continue our proud legacy, while meeting our clients' needs in India," he said.
