Dr Reddy's re-launches Nexium generic version in the US

Co had withdrawn its earlier version after AstraZeneca received a court direction against the use of purple colour of capsule by it

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Limited today announced the re-launch of its Esomeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules, a therapeutic equivalent generic version of Nexium, in the US market. The re-launch was due to a change in the capsule colour.

Dr Reddy's had to withdraw the earlier version after AstraZeneca, which owns the Nexium brand, got a court direction against use of purple colour by the generic maker.
